About Mariah L. Nelson

Mrs. Nelson graduated Cum Laude from Seattle University School of Law in 2020, where she was granted the Law Presidential Scholarship and the Law Community Service Scholarship.  She was also the Communications Director of the Student Bar Association and an Editor of the Seattle Journal of Technology, Environmental & Innovation Law (SJTEIL).  

During law school, Mrs. Nelson served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Judge Jack Nevin of the Pierce County Superior Court in Washington State. She also interned at the ABA Center on Children and the Law in the District of Columbia, advocating policy reformation for children in foster care.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seattle University in 2017, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, where she was granted the Xavier Scholarship.
She was also a member of the Tau Sigma National Honors Society. During her undergraduate studies, she interned at the Seattle Municipal Court, working with defendants with disabilities on probation needing access to resources to end their cycle with the justice system.

Mrs. Nelson began her practice in real estate law in Virginia. Her spouse’s USMC orders brought her to North Carolina in 2022, and her passion for families brought her to the firm in 2023.

     Mrs. Nelson is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia and North Carolina.  

     Mrs. Nelson was born and raised in Washington State. Her status as a military spouse has allowed her to live in Virginia and now North Carolina.  She enjoys hiking and camping with her husband, son, and two dogs.  She is also very passionate about ice cream.
