
About Rachel
Mrs. Myers (formerly Sholar) is a graduate of North Carolina State University, Class of 2009, where she was earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science. She attended the Charlotte School of Law, graduating in 2012. During law school, Mrs. Myers was a recipient of the Charlotte School of Law Merit Scholarship and the Charlotte School of Law Academic Achievement Scholarship. She was also the Senior Executive Editor of the Charlotte Law Review. Mrs. Myers interned with McNamara Law Firm, PC in the summer of 2011 and began practicing with the firm after passing the bar in the summer of 2012. On July 1, 2016 the firm transitioned to McNamara, Lycans & Sholar, PC where she is now a partner.
Mrs. Myer’s practice is devoted to Family Law in the 4th Judicial District (the counties of Onslow, Jones, Duplin, and Sampson). She is a member of the NC State Bar, the NC Bar Association – Family Law Section, and Onslow County Bar Association.
Rachel was certified as a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law in November, 2018.
Mrs. Myers was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, but relocated to Jacksonville, North Carolina. She enjoys travelling on the weekends, scuba diving with the McNamara’s, and spending time with her large family. Mrs. Myers is also an active member of the local gym and likes to spend her free time in the summer at the beach.
